Andres Aleman Shows How To Make A “Vesper” Martini (video)

There is not a more iconic cocktail in film than the original James Bond “Vesper”. I’m not talking about the movie version, just plain vodka, but the recipe written in Ian Fleming’s 1953 first James Bond novel, “ Casino Royale”. The Vesper, named after the Female lead character, called for vodka, gin and lillet blanc made in the classic Bond manner, “shaken not stirred”. It’s a pleasing cocktail for those who prefer drinks on the stiffer side.  The vodka perfectly mellows the gin’s botanicals and the lillet blanc adds a subtle sweetness to it.
